MELBOURNE | Jungle Boy Windsor is not the kind of bar that you simply stumble across. Why? Well it’s hidden behind the door of what appears to be a commercial refrigerator at the back of sandwich shop Boston Sub. As the name implies, the bar has a jungle vibe to it with lots of ferns, plants and theme appropriate paraphernalia dotted around the place.

Inspired by the speakeasy bars in New York City, owners Ryan Simpson and Adam Paurini have created a space that’s cozy and well suited to either a quick drink before heading out elsewhere or a longer session with a group of friends. Cocktails are great and there’s a small range of great craft beers available on tap and in bottles. With food from Boston Sub available (creative subs and inventive poutine options), Jungle Boy is a great option down the Windsor end of Chapel Street.
