CHICAGO | Pizano’s is one of Chicago’s best loved pizzerias. Pizano’s was opened by one of the sons of the pizza pioneers, the Malnati family. Rudy Jr. applied the knowledge learned from his father and opened his own restaurant in the 1990s. Pizano’s thin crust pizza is also worth a try – it is Oprah’s favorite after all.

The City Lane Chicago was invited to an event at the Division Street location to celebrate that Pizano’s now ships nationwide. We enjoyed a variety of delicious appetizers including fried calamari, chicken wings, and chopped salad served by a team of friendly, accommodating staff. The main event, of course, were a variety of thin and deep dish pizzas. Along with the classic flavors, we really enjoyed the smoked salmon topping, with mashed avocado, fresh rocket, toasted almond flakes, fresh chillies and feta crumble, drizzled with lemon and chilli dressing. If you are looking for a beautiful space with a classic Chicago feel for your next event, consider their private room. We will definitely return in the summer to check out the fully retractable roof.
