NEW YORK CITY | Baker Mark Isreal opened the first Doughnut Plant store in 1994, using a recipe handed down from his grandfather, and over the years perfected the recipe using his own research and further knowledge. In 2005 he expanded into Tokyo and in 2011 opened his second NYC store in Chelsea.

What has made Doughnut Plant’s doughnuts so successful is simple – quality ingredients and a focus on flavour and texture. Things like using fresh seasonal fruit, organic ingredients where possible, and fresh roasted nuts in glazes are par for the course here. There are a variety of shapes from cake, yeast and filled doughnuts and a number of core range and seasonal flavours. Expect things like passionfruit, peanut butter and banana cream, tres leches, creme brulee, and matcha green tea.
