LIMA | Cate Tasting Room is a space dedicated to coffee, chocolate and tea. Like many of the third wave coffee shops that have emerged in Lima in recent years, there’s a strong emphasis on the use of fair trade, sustainable coffee. Cate Tasting Room works with a range of micro lot farmers, buying beans specifically from different producers for each style of coffee they intend to make. Beans from San Marino and San Fernando (Cusco) are used for espresso while beans from Cajamarca are used for other styles such as Chemex and filter.
This dedication to the art of coffee, chocolate and tea means all servers having the ability to explain the origin and profile of each of the products they sell. There is a lot of love and care placed into every cup of coffee or tea they serve. It is definitely worth stopping by if you are a coffee, tea or chocolate lover.
