CHICAGO | Firecakes Donuts serves small-batch, artisan donuts alongside La Colombe coffee out of charming brick-and-mortar shops in Chicago’s River North and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Firecakes Donuts is owned and operated by the same husband-and-wife team, John and Karen Fox, behind the Osteria La Madia restaurant.
Chef Jonathan Fox aims to please with high-quality and thoughtfully curated donuts that are made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients throughout each day. Firecakes Donuts takes the traditional and adds a modern spin, as the inspiration for the shop comes from Karen Fox’s great grandfather, baker Billy Hobes. Billy is also who, lovingly, Firecakes Donuts’ food truck is named after.
