LOS ANGELES | Haché LA is a Silver Lake, French inspired burger joint that focuses on burgers that use sirloin steak patties that are ground, seasoned and cooked to order. Owner Michael Schepers claims that this guarantees ultimate freshness, and that you can taste the difference. No blends, no offcuts, no freezers.
We went for the signature burger, the “Karma Burger” with Karma sauce, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The flavours are as expected, and the hache steak patty is firmer and less mushy than the usual thick burger patty. The fluffy cracked wheat buns hold everything together nicely, resulting in a fine burger. We added avocado to ours because… well if you’ve not had avocado on a burger before, try it. Trust us. The fries here are pretty great too – hand-cut, triple cooked and served with garlic aioli and ketchup.
For those with a sweet tooth there are liquid nitro frozen custards, and drinks wise, a short and quality selection of craft beer, wine and soft drinks. Try the signature house made strawberry and basil lemonade, which is super refreshing. On a perfect LA day, patio is a great space to hang out and enjoy your burger and a drink or two.
