CHICAGO | Hopewell Brewing Company Logan Square’s taproom is a bright, open space with high ceilings, large floor to ceiling windows, communal seating and lots of pale wood and lighting. In many ways it looks more like a minimalist cafe than a brewery taproom but don’t be mistaken – Hopewell make some fantastic beer.

The 10 taps feature Hopewell’s entire core range along with a rotating selection of seasonal specialties, and a nitro tap pouring Ipsento cold brew coffee. As is par for the course at most brewery tap rooms, tasting paddles are available. For us highlights are the intense citrus 6.9% ABV Swift IPA, with Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial hops, and the Thick & Thin, a 6.5% ABV dry-hopped American Stout with notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and citrus. There are also bottle releases where you’ll find some of the special release beers that are no longer on tap.

The taproom doesn’t have a kitchen, but you’re more than welcome to bring in your own food or order something in from any one of the great nearby restaurants.

Tours of the brewery are held every Saturday and Sunday at 5:00pm, but do arrive early if you plan on doing a tour as numbers are capped at 20 and slots fill up quickly.
