OAKLAND | Hutch is an Oakland restaurant devoted to the food and drink of the American south, with a menu full of regionally inspired dishes. The space is modern and welcoming, and service is friendly and efficient (don’t worry about the dude sticking his finger up at the camera – it was all in fun!).
For food, think things like grilled scallion and jalapeno hushpuppies, deviled eggs, spiced craklins, natural or fried oysters, fried chicken, catfish, and grits. It’s all very tasty stuff. For drinks there are over 100 types of American whiskey on offer, as well as some tasty classic cocktails, beer and wine. We recommend going for one of the whiskey flights, which gives you three whiskeys which follow a theme – for example Kentucky, grain, or rye.
