NEW YORK CITY | Interboro Spirits & Ales is a craft brewery and distillery in East Williamsburg that offers a diverse range of beers, whiskeys and gins. Located in an industrial part of town, Interboro is surrounded by other warehouses and doesn’t strike you from the outside a place to have a drink. Walk inside through and the warehouse space has all the trimmings of a brewery/distillery bar – high ceilings, visible equipment and an assortment of seating.

With 20 beer taps and an assortment of spirits to try you’ll definitely want to be going down the flight route with your selections. Along with the core range of beers, there’s always some interesting seasonal offerings too. While a variety of beers are available at Interboro, it’s the hoppy, juicy, hazy IPAs that have really made Interboro popular. Indeed, the IPAs we’ve tried here are some of the best we’ve ever tried period.

The Mad Flat Fluid, a 7.0% ABV IPA with aromas of orange, grapefruit and pineapple is packed with Mosaic, Centennial & Equinox hops and is fantastic. The Mad Fat Anniversary, a 9.0% ABV Double IPA is even better – it’s packed with  Equinox Dust, Mosaic Dust, Citra Dust, Equinox Dust and Citra, El Dorado and Centennial hops. Keep an eye out for interesting collaborations and barrel aged beers too. For take away it’s cans and growler refills.

For spirits, try the One Jack Apple Brandy, a delicious one year aged apple brandy. There are cocktails too, and even a couple of wines and a cider for those who want something non-Interboro created. The staff are chatty and know their stuff, so if you need any help working your way through what’s on offer that’s not a problem.

For food it’s things like cheese boards, macaroni and cheese and soft pretzels.
