AUCKLAND | Little Easy is a Ponsonby pub that aims to get the basics of a good pub right – great drinks, simple, tasty food, live music, and an overall fun atmosphere. The venue is large and spacious, with lot of space and tables on the ground floor, which opens out on the street, and large windows that allow the outside light to steam into the upstairs rum bar, which is also where the VW van DJ booth is located.

For drinks it’s a decent selection of local wines, along with Monteiths and Black Dog beers on tap, and a selection of crowd pleasing cocktails. There are also juices and other non-alcochoilc drinks for those who aren’t in the mood for a boozy beverage.

The American and Kiwi pub favourites inspired menu features good quality versions of the usual suspects – burgers, toasties, mac & cheese, and fried chicken. Be sure to try the Double Bacon – Double Cheese Burger, cooked medium rare inside a perfectly squishy brioche bun, or the super indulgent Elvis toastie filled with peanut butter, caremelised banana banana and bacon.

All up, Little Easy succeeds in doing what it seeks to do and is a fun, no-nonsense place to hang out with your friends.
