CARTAGENA | Museo De Arte Moderno De Cartagena (Modern Art Museum of Cartagena) is a small museum housed in a converted part of the the 17th-century former Royal Customs House in Cartagena’s old town.
The museum opened in 1959 and contains a rotating selection of modern artworks from its own collection, as well as special exhibitions and collections. Local-born artists, such as painters Alejandro Obregón, Darío Morales, and Enrique Grau are featured at the museum, as are artists from elsewhere in Colombia. A small selection of international artists also feature here, with most works having a Caribbean theme or influence.
