BOGOTA | Museo de Bogotá (Museum of Bogota), is a museum in Bogota’s La Candelaria neighbourhood that takes visitors through the history of the city. The museum is small, only two stories in a converted residence, and there is no English, however free entry means that it’s still worth a visit even if you don’t speak Spanish.

There are interesting artifacts, maps, and images showing the development of Bogota, and for those who can’t read Spanish it only takes about 15 minutes to look at what you can appreciate without being able to read the captions. The museum isn’t worth seeking out if you’re not in the area, but it’s worth including in your itinerary if you’re going to be exploring La Candelaria and some of the more popular, larger museums there.
