Nico’s Sandwich Deli, Brunswick East

MELBOURNE | Melbourne sandwich favourite Nico’s Sandwich Deli low key opened their new Brunswick East location two weeks ago, and as a local that makes me very happy.

If you’ve been to the Fitzroy or CBD locations, you’ll know what it’s all about. Not reinventing the wheel, just serving up delicious, made to order sandwiches, with well balanced flavours and quality ingredients.

The Brunswick East location (which is where bicycle repair shop ‘Bikes Please’ was) does differ slightly that the other two locations. The kitchen is a bit bigger, and the menu expanded based on customer feedback and what the team have learned since opening the other two during lockdown.

There’s the favourites that you know and love, like the Chicken Schnitzel, Nico’s Original, and Meatball Sub. These have been joined by new hot and cold options like ox tail and salt crusted pork. There’s also a few brekkie melts, and greater options for those with dietary requirements.

You can get the breakfast melts, a small selection of pastries, and Seven Seeds coffee from the coffee window from 8:00am each morning. From 10:00am the full venue opens and the entire menu is available.
