Pullman Saigon Centre, District 1

HO CHI MINH CITY | Pullman Saigon Centre is a modern hotel that opened in 2017. It’s popular with those travelling for business and leisure, with a bright, spacious, and contemporary design.

Location

The hotel is excellently located, in District 1, close to Ho Chi Minh City’s main tourist attractions. It’s just around the corner from the buzzing nightlife district Pham Ngu Lao, and backpacker central Bui Vien Street. It’s also walking-distance from District 3, filled with lots of great food and retail for those looking to explore a more ‘local’ side of the city.

Being set away from most of Ho Chi Minh City’s skyscrapers, means there’s lot of great views across the sprawling city skyline.

Rooms

The hotel features 206 rooms and suites, which start on the sixth floor. Room are bright and spacious, ranging from 34 to 160 square metres. Each room features a contemporary colour scheme and furniture, including a couch and table. Beds are large and comfortable.

Bathrooms feature regular and rain showers, with larger rooms also containing a large bathtub. Body and haircare is from America’s oldest apothecary, C.O. Bigelow. The bathroom and main room in the larger rooms are designed studio style, and are in the same space, with a motorised retractable screen to separate them if you like.

There’s free Wi-Fi in all rooms (and throughout the hotel), 40-inch flat screen smart TVs with Chromecast, a bar fridge, pod coffee maker, and tea kettle. A much appreciated touch are the cleverly designed power points, which feature inbuilt global adapters. Room service is available 24/7.

Amenities

The Pullman Saigon Centre features a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, and day spa open until late each day. The fully equipped gym features cardio equipment and weights is open 24/7, with views across the city. Next to the lobby, is a lounge with lots of comfortable couches.

For those looking to organise an event, the hotel features six meeting/event spaces.

Eat & Drink

The hotel is home to two restaurants, and three bars. Next to the lobby you’ll find Urbane Lounge, which serves classic Western and Asian comfort dishes like burgers, fried chicken, and noodle bowls. They have a nice selection of cocktails, and local beers. There’s also a bar next to the pool, offering refreshments, cocktails and snacks.

On the third floor, Food Connextion serves an international buffet with a live cooking area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has an la carte menu.

Up on the 30th floor, there’s Mad Cow Wine & Grill. The steakhouse serves up excellent steaks, using Woodward range grass fed beef and Wagyu, sourced from premier cattle regions around Australia. There’s an assortment of sides and large plates, made using locally sourced produce, and an impressive list of 50 international wines.

On the hotel’s rooftop, accessible through Mad Cow, you’ll find the rooftop bar, offering a selection of drinks and snacks, with stunning views across the city.
