St Brigid Bar, Doubleview

PERTH | Named for the the Irish saint known for turning bathwater into beer, St Brigid Bar in Doubleview is a chill neighbourhood bar helping to turn this part of town into a great little hub for those looking for a drink and a bite.

It’s from Siobhan Blumann and Hamish Fleming, the duo behind popular North Fremantle bar Mrs Brown. There’s an indoor space that’s split into two distinct zones, with high tables, stools, and couches. There a small courtyard out the back with heating for use all year round.

Behind the bar you’ll find six taps pouring mostly Aussie craft beers. The wine list focuses on fun, minimal intervention drops, and there’s also some tasty cocktails. Like the beer, both the wine and spirits skew local. Staff are super friendly, and are always happy to chat about what’s new and interesting on the drinks list.

For food, it’s snaky share plates with broad influences. Things like beef skewers with native bush tomato relish, garlic oil, and pickled chilli; charcoal grilled cauliflower with labneh, raisins, and walnuts; and steak tartare with native gel emulsions.
