NEW YORK CITY | The Spotted Pig is a New York City institution which has been consistently popular with locals, celebrities, hospitality industry folk and tourists since opening in 2004. Headed up by chef British chef April Bloomfield, The Spotted Pig serves up a seasonal British and Italian influenced menu and is the place that really introduced New Yorkers to the idea of the modern English-style gastropub.
The 180 year old building that the Spotted Pig calls home is always fun and vibrant with a great crowd. Whether it’s for food or just a few drinks you can’t really go wrong with a visit here. Highlights include the Chargrilled Burger With Roquefort Cheese & Shoestring Fries, one of the best burgers in town. It’s a rare beef patty topped with lots of Roquefort cheese and served with a tower of rosemary and garlic shoestring fries. The Crispy Pig’s Ear Salad, when on the menu, is fantastic, as are the bacon wrapped mango chutney and prune delights Devils on Horseback.
For drinks its cocktails, wine and beer – we highly recommend the Spotted Pig’s own specially brewed cask ale which is a fantastic example of a cask ale which is something you don’t see often in this city.
