LIMA | True Caffè, in the heart of Lima’s Miraflores district, serves specialty coffee along with an assortment of cafe style meals and pastries. The cafe was opened in 2015 by Italian/Peruvian owner Gianni Zanesco who identified a gap in the Peruvian coffee scene with most venues only serving lightly roasted Arabica beans.
Drawing inspiration from his Italian heritage, Zanesco created a richer blend of Peruvian Arabica using beans from Cajamarca, San Ignacio, and Villa Rica mixed with Indian Robusta beans from Sethuraman Estate. The result is a more full bodied cup of coffee than many other cafes in town sell, making True the perfect spot for lovers of good, strong espresso.
