SYDNEY | 7th Day Brewery started in 2016, as the result of a Pozible fundraiser that raised over $10,000. This initial investment allowed an initial batch of beers to be brewed and shared with the local community, and in 2018 the tap room opened.
The local community forms a big part of the 7th Day Brewery. Their motto is “drink good, do good” and the brewery is involved in several charitable initiatives, from helping out the local surf lifesaving club, to raising money to provide clean drinking water to those in poor, remote communities.
The tap room is a small space, there’s room for about 40 people inside and a large outdoor space at the front which is used for special events. It’s open and airy, with plants and lots of trinkets and photos of fundraising events that the brewery has been involved in.
As for the beer itself, you can get US pints, middies, and growler refills of whatever is on tap, and there’s also a selection of cans to go. Try their very sessionable 4.7% ABV XPA. It has a fruity and floral hop profile, with undertones of passion fruit.
7th Day Brewery is child and dog friendly, and you can order wood fired pizza and other Italian food from Sale Pepe next door.
