LAKES ENTRANCE | Albert & Co opened in 2015 in a little corner store milk bar located just a short drive out of Lakes Entrance. A few years later they moved into town itself, and are today one of the best venues for a feed and drink in the area.
The team works closely with local produce suppliers within East Gippsland to showcase the best that the region has to offer. The attention to quality and detail comes through in their offering. The coffee is ace, beer and wine selection, tops, and food, brilliant.
Lauren and I shared the coconut soaked chia with strawberry gum, mint syrup, and whole lot of fresh strawberries and raspberries, and the spring garden. The latter is a salad of chorizo, charred local asparagus, goats cheese, preserved organic lemons, summer greens, torn toasted sourdough, and a poached egg.
Both great dishes to help us start the day. And if you’re not in the mood for food, Albert & Co works well as a bar too. You can grab a spot out the front or in the rear lounge section and simply chill and enjoy an afternoon drink. There’s also a small section at the front where you can buy local produce to-go.
