Ballers Clubhouse, Melbourne CBD

MELBOURNE | It opened in 2021, and I had a booking to visit in July of that year, then lockdown happened. Somehow a year and a half then zoomed by, and finally, I made a long overdue to Ballers Clubhouse.

Hidden down a Chinatown laneway, the former warehouse that’s home to Ballers Clubhouse is actually the largest licensed venue in Melbourne’s CBD. Across 2,500 square metres, you’ll find 10 private function spaces, 15 ping pong tables, 6 stand-up shuffleboards, 6 bars, 4 shuffleboard courts, 16 social darts booths, a VR Playhouse with 4 booths, an open-air patio, and cabanas.

Games and activities is what Ballers Clubhouse is all about, and it’s a great spot to visit with friends, or your work colleagues for a team building event. The stand up shuffleboard, and darts with automated sensor activated scoring, are my favourites.

Food and drinks are the kind of thing you expect from a venue like this. Accessible beer, wine, and cocktails, and bar food like fries, arancini, and sliders. Crowd pleasing snacks that do the trick.

Grab a group of friends and book a few games, it really is a whole lot of fun and makes for a great afternoon/evening in the city.
