LAS VEGAS | Banger Brewing is a brewery and tap room Downtown Las Vegas, and is located directly on Freemont Street. The craft brewing industry in Vegas has lagged behind the rest of the US, due to laws that made it cost prohibitive for small brewers to operate. These laws were changed relatively recently, and as a result places like Banger now exist.

It was started by five work colleagues and friends who were working at the Bellagio and went their separate ways in the hospitality world. 15 years later, they all got together, along with home brewer Michael “Banger” Beaman, and Banger Brewing was formed.

The philosophy of Banger is simple. To create beer that’s based on great taste, fresh ingredients and the owners’ love for Las Vegas. The space is small and cozy, with a rather industrial feel to it. To one side is the bar, and just to the side of the bar you can see the brewing equipment. There are several seats and tables around, and board games to play.

The tap list features a range of styles, and tasting paddles are offered for those who want to try a few things. We particularly like their Morning Joe, a light, malty, German style Kolsch infused with coffee beans. The Dark Angel, an Imperial Stout aged seven months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, is also delicious.
