MELBOURNE | Meet the new kid on the block, Cornerstone of Northcote. The owners Dani and Wil are inspired by making their community happy and healthy with a menu full of wholesome and healthy choices. The café is a stylish and cosy light-filled space which feels warm and inviting as soon as you walk through the door. The kitchen use a mix of superfoods, organic ingredients and locally sourced produce to produce a variety of menu options that are completely guilt free. Think staples such as the CS Smashed Avo and smoothie bowls along with unique offerings such as Turmeric Scrambled Eggs, Kale Bowls, Koji Marinated Chicken and Shooters
We were invited to pay Cornerstone a visit and were glad we accepted when the food came out. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious, with the best part being how satisfied and light we felt afterwards. The Shooters are a must try. Not only are they a bit of fun, but they also serve the purpose of cleansing your body and reducing inflammation. The chef recommends one shooter a day to ensure vitality and longevity. We enjoyed the Antioxidant Shooter which was jam packed with blueberries and amla. We also tried the Anti-Inflammator which was a blend of turmeric, black pepper and apple cider vinegar. Great coffee is served alongside a range of smoothies and non-caffeinated coffee options like turmeric lattes.
