Every now and then an idea like the Dishes calendar comes along and we find ourselves wondering, simply, why didn’t we think of that?
The Dishes calendar is 12 months of Australian chefs, food photos, and recipes. Chefs include names such as Colin Fassnidge, Massimo Mele and James Viles, with each giving an exclusive recipe. And as you’ll see from the photos by food photographer Dominque Cherry, every chef comes complete with his own Ryan Gosling-like quality.
But what we really like about this, and what makes it much more than just another calendar, is that all proceeds from the Dishes 2016 go directly to Restore One, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting woman in Cameroon living in vulnerable situations. Of course if you don’t want the calendar, you could always just donate. They do good things, trust us.
Anyway, we know this sounds like a plug, but we have to say, if you’re in the market for a calendar, Dishes 2016 will likely offer you a much greater social impact than, say, Dogs as Animals. Or you could buy both, we won’t judge.
