BOGOTA | El Mono Bandido is a brewpub located in a converted red brick two storey house in Bogota’s hip Quinta Camacho neighbourhood. The interior is full of character, with low lighting streaming from vintage Edison light bulbs, and a few zones with couches, high and low tables, and exposed pipes. Out the front is a small garden space, perfect for enjoying the world go by in this leafy neighbourhood.
On tap you’ll find two of the breweries own beers, along with a few guest beers from other Colombian craft breweries. Tasting paddles aren’t offered, but staff are happy to let you try a few things before you commit to a full beer. Their IPA, a 6.3% ABV International style IPA, has nice citrus and floral notes. If you’re not into beer, the bar also offers a small selection of quality cocktails, as well as coffee, tea, and soda.
For food there’s an assortment of pub classics like burgers, hot dogs, and a few sides. Try the bitey Burger Bandida, with a beef patty, cherry tomatoes, and blue cheese. It pairs fantastically with the IPA.
On weekends there’s live music and entertainment such a magic shows. Keep an eye out on their social media channels for what’s on when you’re in town.
El Mono Badido have two locations in Bogota, the Quinta Camacho bar that we visited and the original bar in nearby Chapinero.
