MELBOURNE | Enter Neighbour is your friendly neighbourhood café, proudly identifying themselves as a customer-focused dining destination. Since opening their doors just over one year ago, the team at Enter Neighbour have consistently sought feedback from their customers to develop a menu that excels beyond the standard breakfast and lunch. This includes sourcing local, high quality produce, and delivering a rotating list of specials, depending on the produce available.

Their all-day breakfast and lunch menu features a couple of familiar items such as a smashed avo, and eggs on toast, whilst the majority of the other dishes creatively combine seasonal ingredients on the plate, and title it a memorable name.

For example, the Benedict Cumberbatch attracts pulled lamb lovers, whilst the Queen Carrot is a vegetarian haven (with gluten free and vegan options available). King Truffle features a perfectly seasoned truffle and porcini cream mixture of swiss brown and baby king oyster mushrooms, topped with ewes milk cheese and served on a single piece of toast. Their lime & coconut granola, meanwhile, puts a refreshing wist on this healthy breakfast option.

The Scotch Pancakes have been a mainstay on the seasonally changing menu, with their secret coffee mascarpone and coffee soil adding a delicious depth of flavour that is otherwise lacking in the dry texture and bland taste of the impressively sized pancakes we received.

For a lunch option, the Nanban Chicken is a must-order, with Asian flavours penetrating the perfectly tender Japanese chicken and addition of crispy shallots, fresh coriander and chili. Meanwhile, the base layer of forbidden black rice, peas, pickled cabbage and gribiche dressing complement the dish with a level of sophistication that is not often seen on local café menus.

With a liquor license to complement their recently launched tapas-style dinners on weekends, the boozy bottomless brunch is another attraction for those seeking a lazy Saturday or Sunday experience.

In support of their local community, the Enter Neighbour team get involved in local clubs and charities, further cementing their love for their friends, family and surrounding loyal customers. Another important focus point is environmental sustainability, aiming to reduce their environmental impact by implementing their own internal composting system via a unique organization of waste products, as well as utilizing recyclable, food-safe packaging and containers.

If you find yourselves in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, pay Enter Neighbour a visit. Their fit out spans three different seating areas, including an outdoor courtyard, in which you can enjoy friendly banter with staff, and impressive food and drinks for which the Melbourne café scene has become known.
