HEALESVILLE | Four Pillars Gin Distillery have a philosophy that’s based around ‘four pillars’ of distilling: quality stills imported from Germany; high-quality Yarra Valley water; a mixture of native and international, dry and fresh botanicals; and love for every aspect of what they are making. The philosophy clearly works, as they produce some of the best gin in Australia, winning local and international awards.

Their three core range gins are all fantastic, and you can sample them all at the distillery in Healesville. The distiller is in a barn-like space, which mixes aspects of the countryside with modern, sleek flourishes. Staff are passionate and friendly, and do their best to ensure that you have the best gin experience possible. What really makes Four Pillars unique are the rare and seasonal gins they produce, such as the Bloody Shiraz Gin, which sees their Rare Dry Gin combined with Yarra Valley Shiraz grapes. Just like wine, the exact flavour of the gin is slightly different with each vintage.

We recommend starting with the gin tasting flight, which gives you a feel as to what the different botanicals are all about, before moving onto one of the more rare gins on offer.
