MELBOURNE | Fox In The Corn Footscray is a modern, almost Scandanavian-like venue with it use of wood, light colours and clean lines. This simplicity extends to the food menu which consists of, apart from a few starters, a choice of pasta and sauces.

The pasta is made in nearby Williamstown by Millgrove Pasta, which is owned by the same guys (Josh Bayne and Joshua Murnane) who own Fox In The Corn. Their passion for slow cooked natural food and quality ingredients shines in the tasty pasta and sauce combinations, but this isn’t the only reason to visit.

The craft beer selection at Fox In The Corn is one of Melbourne’s best, with 8 rotating taps and an ever increasing selection of bottles containing beers both local and international. On more than one occasion we’ve found a beer here that we haven’t seen before. For those who aren’t into beer, there’s a small selection of wine on offer, as selected by Jagdev Singh, from Local Drop.

If it’s something slightly different you’re after, then you can head out the back where you’ll find the boys’ pizza bar. The laneway space is funky and relaxed, and you can even bring in burgers from nearby 8bit if you want. It’s all very causual and informal, and makes for a great experience whether you’re sitting inside or out the back.
