RECIPES | Frosé (or a frozen rosé slushie if you prefer) is a simple yet delicious way to use a bottle of rosé. It is great on a warm day with a plate of cheese, and goes down a treat whenever you have friends over. The only catch? You need an ice-cream maker to do it properly.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes / Freezing time: 90 minutes/ Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 750ml bottle rosé
  • 200ml lemonade

Method

  1. Pour the rosé and lemonade into to your ice-cream maker and churn for 90 minutes or until a slushie texture is achieved.

Notes

I would recommend using a dry, crisp rosé for this rrosé otherwise it can be a little too sweet. For those in the US, the lemonade we use is the variety you find in the UK and Australia which is clear and carbonated. It’s quite different to what you call lemonade. Your best bet is to use a clear lemon soda like Sprite, or soda water with a dash of sugar syrup and 10ml of lemon juice.
