CHICAGO | Heritage Bicycles charmingly combines coffee culture with old time bikes for a uniquely alluring experience. Started by Michael Salvatore in 2011, Heritage Bicycles pays homage to life’s simple pleasures. In addition to serving Stumptown coffee and a variety of sweet or savory eats, Heritage will service your bike or even build you your very own vintage bicycle. If you want to take it a step further, sign up for one of their Build-A-Bike workshops.
If you’re more apt to admire bikes from afar than to build or ride them, Heritage offers the traditional coffee shop hospitality as well. In need of a new bag, helmet or interesting piece of jewelry? Heritage Bicycles also houses a retail shop you can peruse at your leisure. The next time you’re seeking a unique coffee shop environment, visit the original Heritage Bicycles location, or one of their two “outposts”.
