MELBOURNE | Industry Beans Fitzroy is a coffee roastery and cafe located in a warehouse behind the Rose Street Artists Market. The Simmons brothers Trevor and Steve are serious about their coffee, which is evident from the moment you set foot in the warehouse and see the impressive roasting equipment and brewing equipment.
The range of coffee on offer is extensive, and includes dark and light blends and single origin beans available to be brewed any way imaginable. It’s not just all for show either – tasting notes accompany every coffee on offer and staff are happy to answer and questions you might have about the coffee. All of the coffee beans are available to take away either whole or ground too.
The attention to details and quality product doesn’t stop at the coffee though, with the breakfast and lunch menu containing an impressive array of simple and creative dishes that rotate with the seasons. Only the best and freshest local ingredients are used and you won’t be bored with whatever it is that you end up ordering. Think Crystal Bay Tamarind Prawns with compressed nashi pear, puffed rice, fried egg and Sriracha aoili or a dessert like the “Coffee Garden” which contains coffee custard pudding, coffee caviar, cold drip gel, chocolate soil, pistachio sponge and tulle. Your typical brunch spot this is not.
