MELBOURNE | There’s nothing quite like a good old fashioned lasagne to hit the spot no matter your mood. Lasagne Del Rey is a side hustle started during lockdown by Max Salt, the guy behind B.East Burgers, Section 8, Ferdydurke, and Globe Alley.
The offering is simple. A choice of organic beef, rotisserie chicken, or vegan lasagne, in small (serves 2-3) or large (serves 4-6) sizes. All made using top quality local ingredients, available for pre-order and delivery across a wide selection of suburbs. Deliveries are on Wednesday and Friday. If you haven’t pre-ordered you can pop into B.East and see if they have any available to go.
The lasagne is delivered frozen. Half an hour in the oven and it’s good to go. I went for the organic beef – Cherry Tree Organics beef and smoked pork sugo, roast beef tallow bechamel, and triple cheese (caciotta, smoked scarmoza, Jack cheddar). As I said in the opening paragraph – hits the spot.
