LONDON | NT’s London Fields is the first permanent bar and food spot from the team behind the popular Night Tales pop ups, and it’s every bit as good as we were hoping. To find it, you need to walk down the right hand side of Netil House, through a door at the end, up a few flights of stairs, and down a corridor.
It opens up into a large space full of neon, greenery, and sweeping views across the London Fields rail tracks and the city beyond. Everything fits together nicely, and it’s a comfy, casual space that works whether you’re there solo for a drink during the day or with a group of friends at night.
The bar offers a few craft beers and a focused wine selection, but the cocktails are what really stand out. Eclectic drinks include things like the ‘Hurricane Hazel’ with gin, lemon, elderflower, fresh cucumber juice, and soda, and the ‘Sage of Consent’ with whisky, bourbon, blackberry, sage and lemon. Classics aren’t on the menu, but the staff will happily whip up anything if you ask nicely.
As you’d expect from a place with such a cocktail focus, the spirit selection at NT’s is very impressive. Think Hibiki 17yo whiskey, Clynelish 1995 – 17yo sherry #12794, and Real Minero Tobala Mezcal.
DJs play live music each weekend – mostly smaller, local artists, with the occasional big special guest surprise.
Food is taken care of by Morty & Bob’s, and along with their famous and delicious toasted sandwiches, an assortment of tasty dishes like crispy-fried chicken with Sriracha mayo, truffle fries with aioli, and salads are also offered.
NT’s might be hard to find, but it’s well worth the effort.
