MELBOURNE | Piccolina Gelateria have proven their recipe for success through deliciously creamy and authentic Italian gelato and sorbets, with a second store now open in Collingwood. Traditional in concept yet contemporary in creativity of flavour, you are guaranteed that all of their products are freshly-made, and don’t use any premixes, artificial flavours or preservatives.

Hosting their Collingwood launch event on a hot Melbourne Spring day, We experienced first hand how good their ice creams really are. With a live DJ spinning upbeat tunes and staff scooping ice cream onto cones and into cups like there was no tomorrow, Piccolina’s opening was indeed a fun and family-friendly event. You might not get the DJs and pizzazz on a regular day, but the excellent gelato will always be here.

Decadent flavours include the Better Than Nutella and house special of Ricotta and Lemon Curd Crumble (our favourite), whilst a display of ice cream cakes are on rotating display in their back refrigerators. With so many choices to choose from, Piccolina Gelateria is a great place in which to cool down once the warmer weather decides to stick around
