MELBOURNE | Sideshow Burgers has just opened in Rosanna, and it’s already buzzing with locals and burger lovers from afar. Owners Abhish Gupta and Julian Chew invited us in for a burger fix with a fun menu, made with fresh locally sourced ingredients. The burgers are simple, juicy and delicious. The sides are again simple, but solid – chips, onion rings, and loaded fries. The interior has a light and brigh American diner feel, with ample seating, and hits that classic burger joint vibe.
The classic American style Sideshow Burger is a showstopper. A juicy beef patty, with cheese, lettuce, pickle, mustard, kewpie mayo, ketchup and onion. For those who want a little extra, you have the option to add bacon. It’s feast of flavours and you’ll want to savour every bite. For fried chicken fans, the Ringmaster is a hearty burger, with crispy Southern fried chicken, secret sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickle and onion. The servings are very generous and satisfying. Accompany this with a classic shake, onion rings and some Carnival loaded fries, you are destined to have an ultimate burger experience. There are six unique (and customisation) burgers on the menu, with vegetarian and gluten free options also available.
The shakes really took us back to our childhoods. It’s hard to find a good old-school milkshake, and the guys at Sideshow Burgers have nailed it! The consistency is perfect and it’s just the right level of sweetness. When we arrived, the burgers were flying out the door with Uber Eats – clearly it’s a hit with the locals. Staff are friendly and clearly have a real passion for burgers. If you are burger lover, Sideshow Burgers is definitely worth a visit.
