RECIPES | This spiced pear and bitters dark & stormy recipe is a twist on a classic cocktail. Typically this cocktail contains ginger beer, rum and lime, however we add a spiced pear and bitters mixer to give it an additional flavour dimension.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes / Serves 2
- 120ml spiced dark rum
- 100ml ginger beer
- 100ml Cascade spiced pear and bitters mixer
- 30ml lime juice
- slices of lime for garnish (optional)
- Combine the rum, ginger beer, spiced pear and bitters mixer, and lime juice in a jug. Mix well
- Pour the cocktail into two glasses filled with ice.
- Serve immediately.
In this cocktail we have used Chairman’s Reserve Spiced rum however any good quality dark rum will work well.
