CAIRNS | The Chambers is a cafe in Cairns, housed in a beautifully restored 1920s former National Australia Bank building, that retains much of the building’s original features.
During the day, it’s a cafe with a breakfast and lunch menu focused on dishes made using quality local produce sourced from regional suppliers and growers. At night, the venue transforms into a bar and function space.
Dishes that we ordered and enjoyed include the “Risk it for the brisket” – 12 hour slow cooked beef brisket sourdough, two poached eggs, smoked chipotle hollandaise & crushed hazelnuts, and the “Chambers McMuffin” – the cafe’s take on the Maccas classic, with bacon, fried egg and cheese.
Coffee is quality, brewed a variety of ways. There’s also alternative lattes and milks, fresh juices and smoothies, and a cocktail, gin, and wine list.
