RECIPES | This is a non-traditional version of a Whisky Sour – the addition of the Tokay makes it aromatic, full bodied and very easy to drink. Perfect for a dinner party, an afternoon with friends or a Sunday session.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes / Serves 2
- 60ml Whisky
- 60ml Topaque
- 30ml lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- Crushed ice
- 2 Ice sphere
- Place the crushed ice, whisky, topaque, lemon juice and egg white in a cocktail strainer.
- Shake well for 1-2 minutes.
- Place an ice sphere into two glasses.
- Strain the cocktail evenly into both glasses and serve.
For this cocktail we like to use Limeburners Malt Whisky Sherry Cask or Mitcher’s Single Barrel Straight Rye Whisky, but you can use any whisky which has a honey, raisin, butter caramel flavour profile.
