AUSTIN | Waller Creek Pub House is located in what was, up until a few years ago, was a rather desolate part of Downtown Austin. Owners Jesse Lind, Corey Hutchins and Justin Malone combined their desire for an event space and pub respectively, and bought the properties that now house the venue. The space is about 1500 square feet with a large outdoor patio, and offers fans of craft beer 30 rotating brews across its taps.
The tap list leans towards the hoppy end of the scale, but there’s something for fans of all styles of beer on offer, coming from craft breweries across the country. The liquor list is similar too, with a decent range of craft and small batch spirits on offer.
Food wise it’s about elevated pub food. The grilled cheese for example, is made with gouda, smoked cheddar, and grilled tomato while the Rueben contains beer-braised corned beef and beer-soaked sauerkraut.
