MELBOURNE | Another year, and time for another Australian Grand Dairy Awards. This year’s edition of the awards was held at Greenfields in Albert Park, and saw the, ahem, cream of the crop in dairy from across Australia converge to see who would take home the top gongs. Hosted by the ever cheerful and personable Alice Zaslavsky guests were treated to a wide array of some of the best dairy products in the country. Cheese, milk, yoghurt, cream, butter, ice-cream, you name it. Needless to say, we were all in cheese comas by the end of the night.
470 entries were received for this year’s awards, but only 20 products could be crowned winners and we can say, after trying all of the winning products, that the awards were well deserved. Favourites for us included the King Island Dairy Black Label Double Brie, and the Milani House of Gelato Dark Chocolate Gelato, winners of the People’s Choice Award and Grand Champion Dairy Product Award respectively.

You won’t be disappointed, and you’ll be supporting Australian dairy farmers at the same time. We got to hear some of their stories during the night, and it was great to see real, passionate people being recognised for their work.
