Bakemono Bakers, Melbourne CBD

MELBOURNE | Bakemono Bakers is a tiny take-away only bakery, located down Drewery Lane in Melbourne’s CBD. Founded as the bakery for Little Rogue, the cafe a few metres up, visit for a small selection of tasty baked treats, inspired by the hole-in-the-wall bakeries of Japan and South Korea.

There’s savoury things like ham and cheese croissants, and cheesey garlic butter shokupan buns, along with sweet options like almond and yuzu croissants, matcha canelé, and melon pan.

To drink, it’s excellent coffee brewed using Small Batch beans, plus iced and hot chocolate using Mörk drinking chocolate. There’s also drinks like matcha latte, chai latte, and yuzu iced tea.

Bakemono Bakers is a popular spot, with a small line that moves fast. Visit early (or pre-order online for a set pick up time) if there’s something that you particularly want to try, as things to sell out fast. As well as supplying Little Rogue, you can also find Bakemono’s treats at Slater Street Bench, 580 Bench and Acoffee.
