AUSTRALIA | Mexico is a place that many of The City Lane’s contributors have wanted to go to for a long time and its Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festivities are something we’d all love to experience. It will happen, one day, but for now we will have to suffice with celebrating in Australia. Thankfully, people in Australia have really gotten behind the festival and there are a lot of fun events going on all over the country.
While it’s true that the fact that Day of the Dead is a time for family and friends to gather together and honour their deceased loved ones tends to be forgotten in this part of the world, the fun parts of the festivities are certainly not forgotten. After all, partying in costumes with Tequila and Mexican food isn’t a hard sell.
Espolòn Tequila offers a premium tequila product and is taking the opportunity to celebrate Day of the Dead. Various Espolòn venues around the country will have activities running – each offering their own unique Day of the Dead experience to patrons. With DJs and live bands setting the soundtracks to the parties, bespoke Espolòn cocktails will be served offering a fresh take on the tequila experience, with a Mexican-inspired menu acting as the perfect accompaniment. For those wanting to get festive, staff will be offering face painting services, photo booths will be in action and a select number of venues will offer live art installations where artworks will be created by local talent to bring to life the story of Espolòn and Day of the Dead.
