Lui Bar, Melbourne CBD

MELBOURNE | Lui Bar is one of the stalwarts of Melbourne’s small bar scene, and continues to impress with its offering. Located on Level 55 of Rialto Towers, the bar offers delicious cocktails, plus an extensive wine, Champagne, and spirit collection.

It’s a refined venue, sleek and sophisticated, with some of the best panoramic views that Melbourne has to offer.

The cocktail menu consists of favourites that have been on the menu since day one, and new creations. Try the Lui’s Lamington, a tasty mixture of Ketel One Vodka, cacao, cold brew coffee, coconut cream, and raspberry. Also check out the Picante Margarita. Inspired by Los Angeles’ Soho House, it features Don Julio Blanco Tequila, corn tortilla, jalapeno, olive brine, coriander, lime, and agave.

For food, it’s a snack menu designed by the team at Vue de Monde. Think beef sausage rolls with spicy ketchup, Western Australian marron rolls, and fried chicken with Osietra Caviar.

Visit on a Sunday for live Jazz from 3-10pm.

Paul founded The City Lane back in 2009 as a place to share photos of his travels around Europe with friends and family. The City Lane might have changed quite a lot since those early days but one thing that’s remained constant is Paul’s passion for food, travel and culture, and a desire to photograph and write about his experiences. Paul has a strong inquisitive nature that drives him to look beneath the surface in order to discover what really makes a city and its people tick, and what better way to do this than over a good meal or drink, with a city’s locals, at places that people who live in that city actually frequent. Paul is also a co-host of The Brunswick Beer Collective, a podcast that may or may not actually be about beer.
