MELBOURNE | Melbourne coffee roasters Maker Coffee recently opened a cafe on Little Collins Street. It’s a small, minimalist space, with large bifold windows that open out to the street, and booths and benches behind in the office tower lobby. I popped in to grab some shots of the new space for What’s on Melbourne.
There’s a rotating selection of single origin beans from around the world, available to purchase in bags, or select for your coffee. All of the main filter and espresso brewing styles are available, along with a selection of alternate lattes, teas, and juices.
Staff are friendly and happy to have a chat, and will guide you through the flavour profiles of any beans that interest you. Grab a stool at the coffee bar, and you can chat with the staff while watching them work their magic.
For food, Maker recently opened their own production kitchen to supply all of their cafes. It’s a small menu of things like simple sandwiches, yoghurt and granola, and assorted baked goods.
