SYDNEY | Marrickville Pork Roll is considered to be one of, if not the, best places for bánh mì in Sydney. They’ve operated out of the same location since 2008, but recently opened a second location in Darling Square’s Steam Mill Lane food precinct. This location features a more modern look than the original, but when it comes to the food, it’s the same bánh mì on offer that people love.

The airy baguettes are baked fresh in Marrcikville each day, in the same location that the main bánh mì elements are prepared. This includes the paté, mayonnaise, fresh and pickled vegetables, spicy chilli, and the sauce.

Bánh mì thịt (pork roll) is the original, signature bánh mì, and is definitely the way to go if you haven’t been here before. Other options include things like the bánh mì nem nướng (barbeque-pork roll) and bánh mì gá (chicken roll). Unfortunately for fans of Marrickville Pork Roll’s bánh mì bi (pork-skin roll) and the bánh mì nem chua (lemon-pork roll), these two haven’t made it over from the original store’s menu.
