MELBOURNE | Peaches is a two story bar above meat focused restaurant Cheek. Directly above the restaurant is the main bar, a pink and orange pastel 1980s vibing room with a disco ball, terrazo topped tables, and plush couches.
Fun is the name of the game here, and it shows from the decor through to the cocktail list, which is categorised by music eras. Try the Bootsy – a Chartreuse, coriander and pineapple concoction, or the It’s Britney Bitch — sloe gin, basil and raspberries.
Upstairs the vibe is different – white furniture, blue tones, and cooling water misters. The drinks menu here focuses on creative takes on the spritz and an assortment of simpler stirred cocktails. Think blood orange and pét-nat, pickled pear juice, mead and soda, and spiced rum, cassis and lemonade.
The food menu, available until close, is a small but delicious assortment of dishes like fried chicken sandwiches, tofu sandwiches, crinkle-cut chips and sweet-and-sour cauliflower. We highly reccomend the fried chicken burger – it’s one of the best in Melbourne and great value for $10.
