MELBOURNE | Pin Oak Beer & Wine is a small bar in Kensington that focuses on, as the name suggests, beer and wine. It’s housed in what appears to be an old residence, with what appears to have once been a dining room making way to the bar, which might have once been the kitchen, behind it. To the side is a door which leads to a cosy courtyard.
All of the wines and beers on offer have been chosen and tasted by the owners, and skew towards the local, independent and interesting side of things. There are a few fridges worth of drinks to choose from, as well as a handful of beer taps and wines available by the glass.
The bar’s pet friendly, and you can bring in your own food. And if you want to bring anything home with you, there’s discounts offered off the drink in price.
