MELBOURNE | Redwood Tasting Room is a bar that showcases the beers imported and distributed by husband and wife team Brian and Anika Labadie’s craft beer distribution company Redwood Distribution. It’s a small, unpretentious spot on St George’s Road in Fitzroy North with an assortment of second hand furniture and finishings giving the bar a worn in, lounge room, cabin feel.
There are three rotating taps along with another 50 or so bottles in the fridges. The import range has a Northern Californian focus and features breweries like Alamanac, Anderson Valley, and Knee Deep, while the local range includes breweries like Batch, Grifter, and Akasha.
There’s no kitchen but you can order in food from nearby restaurants if you want. Thursday nights are triva nights, and there’s an assortment of events like book launches and art exhibits on sparodically.
