S04E07: The Great American Dream

PODCAST | In this bumper homecoming episode, Jeff chronicles his American craft beer adventures in, among many places, Denver, Colorado; Paul details the ins and outs of craft beer in Los Angeles’ Skid Row and beyond; and Chris listens, all the while getting more and more envious, annoyed, and angry about not being there. We also talk about the advantages of the tipping culture and the clever workarounds to some very obscure drinking laws.

Beyond all this we talk about finding the rarest of beers in the most unlikely of places. Oh, and did you know Good Beer Week is coming to Melbourne this May?

Featured beers: Hit Me With Your Best Shot! by BrewCult and Crusty Jugglers by 7 cent Brewery.

Chris is an editor, writer, and occasional novelist who in a former life published online magazines for a living while working out of obscure coffee shops. He has travelled extensively and has eaten and enjoyed exotic delights ranging from instant ‘just add water’ potatoes while on a Russian train to snails and Brie from a tiny Montreal kitchen. Chris is a great lover of the experiences around and associated with food and believes the culture of a venue, as quirky or strange as it might be, is just as important as the food it sells. He is also a co-host of The Brunswick Beer Collective, a podcast dedicated to the lighter side of craft beer.
