S04E08: The Wax Seal Gonna Break!

PODCAST | In this Jeff-less episode, Chris discovers Beavertown beer in a place very far away from Beavertown Brewery; Paul talks Pirate Life Brewery, double IPAs and asks if Pliny the Elder really is the best ever double IPA; and guest-host Ben discovers what many of the craft breweries Western Australia have to offer. We also drink a drink a sour that doesn’t taste like a sour, that comes from a place that we didn’t expect to have beer.

Finally, we make several attempts to open a beer with a wax seal and succeed … eventually.

Featured beers: Birthday Suit Sour Raspberry Ale (23rd Anniversary) by Uinta Brewing Company and Barrel Breed: Christmas Ale (2015) by Mountain Goat Beer.

Chris is an editor, writer, and occasional novelist who in a former life published online magazines for a living while working out of obscure coffee shops. He has travelled extensively and has eaten and enjoyed exotic delights ranging from instant ‘just add water’ potatoes while on a Russian train to snails and Brie from a tiny Montreal kitchen. Chris is a great lover of the experiences around and associated with food and believes the culture of a venue, as quirky or strange as it might be, is just as important as the food it sells. He is also a co-host of The Brunswick Beer Collective, a podcast dedicated to the lighter side of craft beer.
