S07E09: The Hand Pump Beer Blast

PODCAST | In this remarkably normal episode, Chris talks about the launch of Bodriggy Brewing Co’s Bruno Bitter and about bitter beers in general; Paul regales his craft beer adventures through Japan including discovering some fine beers at a railway station; and Jeff reveals how he made the best of an airline delay and found a beer that had otherwise alluded him. We also discuss our plans for Melbourne’s upcoming Good Beer Week, otherwise known as the most important beer week of Melbourne’s year.

It’s an episode of laid-back chaos, combined with some limited-edition, and less limited-edition, hand pump beers, and featuring a firkin, which is apparently a thing.

Featured beers: Goldings by Colonial Brewing Co and Hopping Hare by Badger Ales (Hall & Woodhouse).

He has travelled extensively and has eaten and enjoyed exotic delights ranging from instant ‘just add water’ potatoes while on a Russian train to snails and Brie from a tiny Montreal kitchen. Chris is a great lover of the experiences around and associated with food and believes the culture of a venue, as quirky or strange as it might be, is just as important as the food it sells.
